This automatically updating news ticker displays links to the latest additions to our news blog, “The Missing Headlines,” right in your browser's toolbar.
However, if you don't like having something moving on your screen it can easily be removed.
2. Work for Justice: Latest Action Alerts and Ongoing Action Ideas
The “Work for Justice” menu provides automatically updated links to our latest action alerts, as well as links to ongoing actions to help raise awareness.
3. Inform Yourself: Links to All Sections of Our Site and Latest “Missing Headlines” Always Available
This section contains automatically updating links to the latest additions to our site and the latest “Missing Headlines,” (so you can read these even if you remove the news ticker). It also has links to all the main sections of our website.
4. Google-Enabled Search, Site Search, & More!
This search box allows you to search the web, the current site you are visiting, news, images, etc.
5. Cutomize Your Toolbar with additional Features or Remove Features You Don't Want
You can search for additional components or remove items to customize this toolbar.
How to remove the news ticker (or other items) from your toolbar:
- Click the arrow to the right of the If Americans Knew logo
- Choose “Toolbar Options” from the dropdown menu (it is the last item on the list).
- Click “Predefined Components” and uncheck “News Ticker” and any other component you wish to remove from your toolbar.
- Choose “OK” and you are done!
